"Its the body language - the tilt of the head, arch of the back, curve of the hip that captures the emotion.

These paintings have a voice that speaks directly to the soul."

Working in an expressionistic style the artist uses a layering process incorporating acrylic paints, chalk and oil pastels, pencil, ink and water.

Best known for her enigmatic female figures, Mary's work seeks to capture the intangibles of joy, passion, and the beauty of the human spirit. It’s the body language, the tilt of the head, arch of the back, and curve of the hip that captures the emotion.  It’s this emotion, an intimacy with the piece that each viewer perceives as their own.  These paintings have a voice that speaks directly to the soul drawing you in.

Mary has exhibited her work extensively in Manhattan, through out New York State as well as in galleries in Cleveland, California and internationally on the Island of Curacao.

Patrons of her work range from serious and well known art collectors to first time buyers of original art work.
